Charity Work

James 2:18 I will show you my faith by my actions

As a Catholic school, we believe that our faith should be fruitful in good works, and we regularly provide opportunities to come together as a school community and put our faith into action. Throughout the year, we support the following charities.

Bethlehem Care and Hospice Trust

Christmas Crib exhibitions and Nativity crafting competitions have helped us raise money for palliative care for the people of Bethlehem. Look out for our Easter art competition!

"When the elderly and terminally ill people of Bethlehem reach the end of their lives, they have nowhere to turn. We believe that everyone deserves dignity, care and help to manage pain at the end of their life. Our Mission is to support the establishment and maintenance of Hospice Care Services in Bethlehem."

Grace Food Bank

Our regular canned food drives provide help for families in need, and we are grateful of Grace Food Bank's assemblies to raise awareness and share the outcomes of our good work.

St Luke's Hospice

St Luke's cares for people aged 18 and above throughout Sheffield who have terminal illnesses. They aim to control their symptoms, alleviate pain, and give them the best possible quality of life – all free of charge. Our children have learnt problem-solving and financial literacy through their Biz Kids programme and raised money through whole-school events.

Caritas

Throughout Lent, we take part in the Good Shepherd Appeal, with each class doing something special to raise money for Caritas, which provides a variety of caring services in our diocese. This year’s theme is Good Relationships – with friends, family & Jesus.

CAFOD

We try to make a difference in the wider world through our links with CAFOD and regularly take part in their nationwide campaigns.
